From Ripple to Wave: The Very Beginning!

Welcome to The Social Wave's Blog!

My name is Madison Godinez and I am the founder and owner here at The Social Wave LLC. After what seemed like a lifetime of working in the digital world as an independent contractor, I decided it was time to unleash my entrepreneurial side and make a wave of my own!

Let's start with the basics.

I'm 25 years old and was born and raised in the quaint town of Kingman, Arizona. Since I was young, I've had a very active imagination and loved to show my creativity through pictures, crafts, music, art, and writing. When I turned 16, my family uprooted and moved to Gillette, Wyoming where I finished out my high school education. After I graduated high school, I took some time away from schooling and moved back to Arizona. By the time I turned 19, I still had no idea what I really wanted to do. I ended up moving back to Gillette and going to college for psychology. After finishing my second year of college with a 4.0, I decided college wasn't my cup of tea.

As an avid lover of traveling, I started researching careers that would allow me to work from anywhere in the world. This is when I discovered digital marketing, website design, and social media management. I started taking different career certifications, watching tons of YouTube videos, and teaching myself the different skills needed in the digital world. After endless hours of studying, research, multiple certifications, internships, and late nights... I finally landed my first client in 2022.

During the beginning of my career, I was traveling the US in an RV and doing what I loved from wherever I was! Once I landed my first contracting job, everything started coming easier. I had more clients, I quickly learned the best way to execute my job, I continued furthering my education, and I learned many more skills relevant to the job.

Although the traveling life was great, I was ultimately brought back to Gillette and decided to settle down and stay awhile. I got married and added two little bonus kiddos to my life and that's when I knew it was time to plant some roots.

Then came... The Social Wave LLC! There's clearly no waves in Wyoming and I love the ocean, so I decided I'd just make some waves of my own. My company was inspired by my love of helping others, the complexity and challenges of marketing and website design, my love for learning and creativity, and the idea of all the great clients I'd meet along the way.

Whether you're a small business owner or the CEO of a major company, I've got you covered. I'm always open to learning, going the extra mile, meeting new people, and even traveling the distance to work with you!
